Well… I’ve been tagged by my dear :iconkarelysluna: … It’s a boring Saturday, so I’m gonna try to do this “thing”.

The rules

    1.     You must post these rules.
    2.     Each person has to share 10 things about themselves.
    3.     Answer the 10 questions asked to you and invent 10 questions the people you tag will have to answer.
    4.     Choose the 10 people and put them on your journal.
    5.     Go to their page to inform them they are tagged.
    6.     Not something like “You are tagged if you read that.”
    7.     You have to legitimately tag 10 people.
    8.     No tag-backs.
    9.     You can’t say you don’t do tags.
    10.   YOU MUST MAKE A JOURNAL ENTRY, NOT COMMENT.

10 things about me:

   ·   I’m not a social person.
   ·   I love plants. My room is full with plants; 3 trees, carnivorous plants and several other plants, but I don’t like flowers.
   ·   Besides art and music, I’m a biologist.
   ·   I love music more than anything.
   ·   I’m shy and that makes me say stupid things when I try to maintain a conversation with people.
   ·   I’m hypochondriac and I spend a lot of time on the day thinking I’m gonna die.
   ·   I don’t like surprises to the point I try to avoid them. I like to have everything under control and think on the future or the consequences of my acts more than live the present.
   ·   I hate noises, mostly dog and children kind of noises.
   ·   I usually get excited when I start doing something (art, music or whatever thing on life) but I usually don’t finish anything I start.
   ·   I don’t bear to look at the people’s eye when I talk to them. That makes me feel really nervous.

My answers:

    1.     Who is your favorite band/musician? Since I’m not the kind of person who is fan of things, I don’t have a favorite band/musician. I do have a favorite kind of music, which is OSTs.
    2.     Can you dance? I can, but I don’t like XD
    3.     Tell me something that’s on your bucket list (things you want to do before you die). Stay alive? Hahaha... well I don’t know. There’s a lot of things I would love to do… but they are probably more dreams than things that one can actually do. Anyway, to summarize all the things on that list, I would say just enjoy every moment of life.
    4.     What kind of movies do you like? Sci-fi, action, drama… anything except “funny” movies... I don’t enjoy laughing with movies.
    5.     Do you believe in aliens? Absolutely yes‼ as they said on the Contact film (is my favorite film ever), “if not, what a waste of space” (I don’t recall the exact words, but I’m sure you know what I mean).
    6.     Favorite food? Chinese food‼!
    7.     Besides art, do you have any other talents? I guess so… music and… being a biologist XD
    8.     If you could be any superhero, who would it be and why? As a drama lover person, I would love to have that “Cassandra-curse” superpower; the ability to see the future but not to be believed when you say or warm them about an horrible future. But that’s to dramatic for me XD. Idk, I think I would love to have the ability to became water or air to experience the feeling of fading away.
    9.     Books or comics? Books!
    10.   Summer or winter? Winter… but depends of what kind of winter. Spanish-winter is ok, but I’m sure I will die living a russian-winter XD.

My questions:

    1.     How do you see yourself in 50 years?
    2.     What would you do if no one could see you?
    3.     Favorite living-being?
    4.     Movies or series?
    5.     What is your frustrated dream?
    6.     Favorite entertainment?
    7.     Sunny or rainy days?
    8.     You can’t live without…?
    9.     Favorite memory?
    10.   What is the thing you most regret?

And now, i should put here a list of people who I'd like to do this, but... i won't say a word. Everybody who wants to do it and answer my questions will be very welcome!

Have a great day!

Hi everyone!
Since I started on photomanipulation I've been feeling some people undervalue the work it's behind the photomanipulations. No one say it openly, but you can smell it, you know. People usually think it's all about copy & paste. Far from reality, it's not only copy & paste and I want to say something about it so everybody can know the hard work it's behind a photomanipulation.

1.| Limits vs. creativity.
First of all, photomanipulatios have limits that is above the creativity of oneself. We work with photos, usually stock images or photos taken by oneself. That means we have to spend a lot of time (usually hours) to find something that can fit what we were  looking for. I think it's a very important part on the photomanipulation, because it's the pillars of the work; if you cand find the photos you was looking for, there will be a work as you have thought.

2. | Fit differents images.
The second point of a Photomanip is that all have to fit on one image. That's sometimes really complicated. The several images you picked up for your work have a lot of differences: colour and lighting essencially. It's hard because if you have a background with the main lighting on the top right and a model with the lighting on the middle, and try to just copy & paste, they won't fit!

About the colors, you can think "well, that is easy, you just have to put a layer with a main colour and that's all". That is not. It's true that sometimes one can resort to add a layer with a colour, but it will look very artificial. When you photomanipulate, you have to  study the colours and lights at the same time. And sometimes you have to change or add all the colours and lightings from scratch.

For example, if you have a sun between a forest, you have to add some warm colours that spread out from the sun and you have to add the shadows of the trees. And if you have a model before the trees, you have to illuminate with the sun rays between the trees but add a shadows of the trees and the shadows of the model itself.

3. | Merges.
Essentially, on the photomanipulation process, you have to know how to put several images on the same one. It's not just copy & paste, because if you do that, you can see perfectly the edges of the differents images, so the final work looks like just a copy & paste. This is something very important on the process to create a photomanipulation. Sometimes it's really hard when the images you are working on, have difuse edges. Speaking of my experience, I usually have to remove very carrefully the background of all the images, with a + zoom of 400%, and sometimes redraw the edges or add light or shadows to the image for they finally fit with the rest of the image.

That's the main process to get finally something. In a photomanipulation, depending of the complexity, you can have about 5, 6, 7 images on the same one. So you have to make all they fit perfectly. You have consider the lighting of the main image against the indiviual images and the same with the colours.

4. | Considering the Creativity.
To finish I have to say that the most part of time, you finally get something completely different that you was waiting. This is because the complexity of find the stock images for the work you was on mind. To me, this is something great because at the same time you're working, the scene are requesting you how the work will continue. If you can see the main image with the point of view of an incomplete work, the image will say where have to be the lights, the colours you have to do, the position of the images, etc. So all you have to do is listen the work.

In conclusion, Photomanipulations are more than just copy & paste. The work it's behind the photomanipulation is hard. I won't tell it's more or less hard than other kind of art. It's art and I hate when people undervalue the work it's behind on an artwork.

Life is always a tragedy. But keeping myself busy makes me fade away from everything I love, to fall down to an illusion of welfare... an illusion I hate. Because that makes me stop feeling, stop dreaming. It's true that sadness is a fountain of inspiration, but more true is that life itself is the most beautiful tragedy that I ever had, and If I try to close my eyes I will loose the greatest inspiration of this world.

Hi everyone!
I'm a little confused about new artworks I've been seeing on deviantart. It seems that originality has dead. I don't like to critique works, because I think all works, as an expression of emotions and feelings, are very welcome. But, unfortunately, I've been seeing for awhile the same models, with similars backgrounds surrounded by the same concept. It's a little bored to see always the same. Is it so hard to find a little of originality? It doesn't mean I don't like to see your works, but I really love to see new concepts and to find new artists who are able to change completely the concept of a artwork, working with the same model...

By other hand, I want to say thanks to all the faves I've been receiving on my artworks. I don't have enough time to say thanks to each one of you (as you deserve), but I really appreciate each one of the comments and faves.

I wanted to make features here, on my journal, but unfortunately I'm not premium membership u.u. So I'll really appreciate if anyone donate me a premium membership or points to get that. It doesn't mean I want to have a beautiful profile, just want to share with you all new awesome works I've been seeing every day.

That's all! Thanks for read and do not forget comment on my new artwork: proyectooniric.deviantart.com/…

Have a nice week!

Hi everyone,
I've created an account on Shadowness, and I was wondering if any of you are there. I'd like to follow you. My account is: shadowness.com/proyectooniric

Well, this journal it's not only to make "spam" from Shadowness XD, but I'm a little busy right now and I have no time to make another feature with all the beautiful works I've been finding... But, at least, let me show you my last artwork:

In two days it made a lot of favs (at least for me, of course). But, I miss the comments. It's very important the comment that people leave in the works, because sometimes it's the only way to know if the work is great or if is another shit. And it's also a way to see what I've done bad or what I could change to get better. So, don't hesitate to comment me, even if it's good or bad, I appreciate each of your words.

See you!

Invierno,
Proyecto Oniric.
